New Delhi:

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is recalling 9,925 models of its three fashions, Wagon R, Celerio and Ignis, to rectify a potential defect in rear brake meeting pin, in accordance with a regulatory submitting by the corporate.

The affected autos are manufactured between August 3 and September 1, 2022.

“It’s suspected that there’s a potential defect within the rear brake meeting pin (‘Half’), which in a sure case, might break and trigger a peculiar noise. There could also be a chance of affect on brake efficiency in the long term,” Maruti Suzuki India Ltd stated in a submitting on BSE.

Contemplating the security of shoppers and out of considerable precaution, the corporate has determined to recall the suspected autos for inspection and substitute of the defective half, freed from price, it added.

Components for substitute are being organized and authorised workshops shall be contacting the shoppers for attending their autos, the corporate stated including “mandatory restore, if required, shall be undertaken put up inspection”.
