Life Insurance coverage Company of India (LIC) has raised its stake in Capri World Capital by 2 per cent over the previous couple of months at an funding of Rs 257.37 crore.

Its shareholding in Capri World has elevated from 1,24,00,000 to 1,59,51,171 fairness shares, rising its stake from 7.052 per cent to 9.072 per cent of the paid up capital of the corporate, LIC mentioned in a regulatory submitting on Monday.

Capri World caters to completely different segments like MSME, development, finance, inexpensive housing and oblique retail lending segments.

The brand new shares have been acquired between June 10, 2022 to October 28, 2022 at a mean value of Rs 724.74 apiece.

As per regulatory norms, listed firms are required to reveal about change in shareholding of two per cent and above.

LIC mentioned the share buy was an funding perform by an open market buy. Capri World’s market capitalisation stands at Rs 13,014 crore.

The scrip of LIC closed at Rs 604 on BSE, up 1.86 per cent. Capri World settled 1.05 per cent greater at Rs 750.50.
