Dish TV stated its chairman Jawahar Lal Goel has resigned from the board of the corporate.

Direct-to-Dwelling operator Dish TV on Monday stated its chairman Jawahar Lal Goel has resigned from the board of the corporate.
“Jawahar Lal Goel, Director…. has tendered his resignation from the corporate’s board of administrators and committee/s thereof with impact from the shut of enterprise hours of September 19, 2022,” Dish TV knowledgeable in a regulatory submitting.
Consequently, he shall stop to be the chairman of the board, it added.
The corporate’s largest shareholder Sure Financial institution Ltd (YBL) and the promoter household led by its chairman Jawahar Lal Goel have been engaged in a authorized battle over board illustration in Dish TV.
YBL, having over 24 per cent share, was pushing for reconstitution of the Dish TV board and removing of Goel together with another individuals.
In its AGM, held on December 30, 2021, Dish TV shareholders rejected all three proposals, together with the adoption of monetary statements and the reappointment of Ashok Mathai Kurien as director.
Dish TV had not declared the end result of voting at its thirty third AGM as a result of ongoing litigations. It was later directed to reveal the outcomes by the capital markets regulator Sebi.
