New Delhi:

The federal government has obtained about Rs 5,001 crore as dividend tranche from ONGC, taking the full dividend receipt from all CPSEs (Central Public Sector Enterprises) to date this fiscal to Rs 23,797 crore.

“The federal government has obtained about Rs 5,001 crore from ONGC as dividend tranche,” Division of Funding and Public Asset Administration (DIPAM) Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey tweeted.

The DIPAM, in 2020, suggested CPSEs to comply with a constant dividend coverage and attempt to pay increased dividends bearing in mind components like profitability, capex necessities, money/reserve and web price.

As per tips, CPSEs are required to pay a minimal annual dividend of 30 per cent of revenue after tax (PAT) or 5 per cent of web price, whichever is increased.

The overall dividend receipts to date this fiscal stood at Rs 23,796.55 crore, as per DIPAM web site.
